A Moment That Changed Everything

In May 2012, I gave my wife a birthday present.
A nice one. Thoughtful. Beautiful.

But as I watched her smile and thank me, a simple truth hit me.
This wasn’t a birthday gift—it was a “Happy Wife Day” gift.

Because, if I had forgotten my Wife’s birthday… it would be hell on earth for me.

That’s when I thought, “Why isn’t there a Happy Wife Day?”

It was too obvious. Too universal. Too needed.
If I thought of it, other men must have thought it.
Every wife would want it. Every marriage could use it.

After a couple of weeks of thinking about it, I checked to see if the domain name was taken.

The domain name HappyWifeDay.com was available. I bought it immediately as I  realized it would be a way to sell items to husbands to keep wives happy, and sell items to wives to keep themselves happy when hubby did not buy.

Happy Wife Day is more than just a clever phrase.

About the Creator — Curtis Mosby Jr. (Curtis MJ)

Before I was a software developer, I was many other things:

  • Marketing and advertising
  • Sales
  • Commercial photographer
  • Long-haul trucker
  • United States Air Force

Those experiences taught me how people think, what they respond to, and how important relationships and recognition really are.

I sold my first commercial software application in 1988. It was called
Maintenance Man (MM), and it was purchased exclusively by Ultimate Services Inc.,
where I worked for the next 12 years.

Over the years I developed:
